Human Services Research and Development Center is committed to fully inclusive communities that include and value everyone.

Staff have provided training throughout the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, and Israel.

Training opportunities are provided for human services agencies that provide support to people with disabilities, self-advocacy organizations, governmental agencies, and communities. See the Presentations page for types of training and technical assistance available.

Angela Novak Amado Ph.D., is the Executive Director of the Human Service Research and Development Center and also a Research Associate, Institute on Community Integration, University of Minnesota. Dr. Amado has an extensive background in developmental disabilities including direct care, university teaching, nationwide research, agency administration, and state government. She combines a deep commitment to full community participation for everyone with a practical, how-to method of application to day-to-day situations.
